about me:
Kate Zink— Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP), Registered Nurse
I’m a nurse with a background in emergency medicine and pediatrics. I continue to support children and families while expanding into holistic health and functional nutrition. As both a practitioner and a patient, I’ve experienced the gaps in conventional medicine—and the importance of addressing root causes, not just symptoms.
“Healing happens when the body feels safe.”
As a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP), I specialize in root-cause healing by supporting digestion, mineral balance, blood sugar regulation, and nervous system health. My approach focuses on restoring the body’s natural ability to heal through personalized, foundational nutrition.
I believe true healing goes beyond supplements.
My work is rooted in a homesteading mindset—real food, slower living, and connection to nature. I incorporate nervous system regulation and intentional “forest time” to help clients move out of chronic stress and into a state where healing can actually happen.
“It’s not about doing more—it’s about supporting the body to do what it was designed to do.”
I collaborate with Karen from The Well Cell, where we integrate functional nutrition with PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy to support cellular health, energy production, and overall wellness.

“Two nurses. Two modalities. No competition—just healing.”
Whether I’m working with children, women with chronic symptoms, or families looking for a more holistic lifestyle, my goal is to help you reconnect with your body, restore balance, and build a strong foundation for long-term health.
What’s a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP)?
As a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP), I take a foundational, bio-individual approach to nutrition. I specialize in restoring balance through digestion support, mineral optimization, blood sugar regulation, and nervous system care. I also use functional labs to uncover hidden imbalances and deficiencies at the system and organ level, so every recommendation is truly personalized to your body’s unique needs.
Using a hands-on assessment called the Functional Clinical Assessment (FCA) and muscle testing, I evaluate how your body systems and organs are functioning to uncover hidden imbalances and nutrient deficiencies—so we can create a plan that’s tailored to you and your healing.
My Journey
My journey started through my own health struggles and medical trauma—both as a patient and as a nurse within the system. Seeing those gaps firsthand led me to functional nutrition, where I now help others find real answers and lasting healing.
I’ve received countless diagnoses over the years—many of them unclear or incomplete. After each one, I thought, “This is finally the answer.” After every new doctor, I felt hopeful—this is it. But instead of getting better, I continued to feel worse.
I’ve been on dozens of medications, supplements, and herbs. I’ve seen both medical and natural practitioners and undergone more testing and imaging at a young age than most people will in a lifetime.
That journey is what led me here.
It taught me the true importance of nutrition and what it means to support the body at a foundational, cellular level. I realized that even though I thought I was “eating healthy,” it wasn’t what my body actually needed.
Holistic health gave me my life back—and now my mission is to help others do the same.
Because healing is possible—and it’s worth everything.
